The New Moon in Taurus on 23rd April 2020 will lead us through a new cycle until the it’s full bloom in October 2020 (full moon in Taurus). This new moon is a powerful one and worthy of a mention as it aspects the cold depths of Saturn, adding some nourishing warmth since the incredible show in January between Saturn and Pluto to where we find ourselves today in “pandemic” territory. The moon is exalted in Taurus (loves to be there) and is a natural ruler of our possessions, money and economy.
It represents what we value in ourselves and our surroundings, what we love, how we build and structure our foundations. The more prominent energy expression of Taurus is safety which is the opposite of fear. Any time there is fear, safety is the ultimate desire and many have been feeling their safety and foundations fluctuate in this area. When there is such a collective focus on sickness and lack it can be a challenge to switch the mind to abundance and health but through the energy of this new moon there is an opportunity to remind yourself of all that is possible. When you dig down into the deeper depths of fear, you can see into the illusions we create that are so unhelpful.
The opposite sign to Taurus is Scorpio; Scorpio is where our fears reside, into the unconscious dark shadows that if left ignored create detrimental habits and behaviours that we disguise amidst our “busyness”. But during this time as the planet is resting we find ourselves contemplating all those things, because there is no noise to cover it all up. Use this time to connect with your inner self, ask what it needs and remember that if you can imagine fear, you can imagine it’s opposite which is Safety. The best solution to all that is going on is visualising a richly fulfilling experience on the other side of these times in whatever form that symbolises for you. The mind will always take us towards what we repetitively think about. <3
